Entonox – popularly called paradise gas – is a mixture of 50% nitrous oxide and 50% oxygen.

It has several effects on the body, which we also use during dental treatment:

- anxiolytic effect - we use it in anxious patients to suppress fear of treatment, to calm and relax

- analgesic effect – acts against pain, reduces pain during administration of local anesthesia

- sedative effect - while maintaining the patient's consciousness

- myorelaxant effect - relaxes the patient's muscles, helps dampen the gag reflex

How do we administer entonox?

The patient breathes paradise gas through a mouthpiece or a face mask for 2-3 minutes, while it is necessary to breathe it several times during the treatment. For small children, cooperation is therefore important for the use of entonox, while they must prove themselves the paradise gas through the mask

A big advantage is minimal side effects, fast onset of effect and at the same time fast fading after the end of the treatment. Thanks to this, patients are not restricted in any way, they do not need an escort for the treatment, and they can even drive 30 minutes after the treatment.

Paradise gas is suitable for both adults and children and is a safe way to make your visit to the dentist more pleasant and easier.
